The AP35Q Easifil Adaptor converts the DIN cylinder post on the APD SMBCi (Surface Marker Buoy with mini-cylinder) to allow inflation of the SMB with an Auto Air hose.

The idea of the AP35Q Easifil is that it allows divers to use their SMB abroad if they do not want to travel with the mini-cylinder, or if they are doing the type of dives in which the gas conservation and ease-of-deployment gained by using the mini-cylinder is less important to the dive-plan.

N.B. The AP35Q adaptor can only be used with an AP AutoAir hose.

We also make a version of the Easifil adaptor - AP35P - for use with an inflator hose (any brand).

The Easifil inflator stem does not have a locking-groove on it. This prevents the hose from becoming attached to the SMB at any point during inflation and so avoids the danger of any sudden increase in buoyancy to the diver. The hose will be connected only so long as it is held in place by the diver as shown.

We are now also selling the SMBCi (all 3 colour options - Red, Yellow, Red&Yellow) in combination with the Easifil adaptor only (no mini-cylinder).

This is obviously a much cheaper option and a mini-cylinder can be purchased to fit to the SMB at a later date if required.
